Now, it can be said that Steve is oft-described as a square based fantasy player, but he does periodically venture into the realm of round bases when occasion calls! In this instance, it comes in the form of everyone’s favourite Age of Sigmar Marauding Slaves to Darknes; The Darkoath Horde.
Steve’s Darkoath Horde army for Warhammer Age of Sigmar is a fearsome display of raw power and rapid speed painting. The Darkoath warriors are primarily painted in dark, earthy tones, with weathered armour, cloth and leathers, capturing their savage dedication to chaos.
Steve’s Darkoath cavalry charges into battle with primal intensity, each rider mounted on a fearsome, heavily muscled beast, snarling and kicking up dust. The cavalry models are painted with a striking mix of dark leather armor and bone adornments, their fur-cloaked saddles and bridles decorated with tribal totems and blood-red markings. These warriors wield long, jagged spears and brutal axes, perfect for swift strikes against their foes.
Gunnar Brand is a brutal and battle-hardened Darkoath chieftain, known for his relentless pursuit of victory and ruthless tactics on the battlefield. With a powerful physique honed from a life of constant warfare, Gunnar is clad in spiked, worn leather armor adorned with the bones and symbols of his vanquished enemies. His scarred face and piercing gaze speak of countless battles survived, while his twin axes—each marked with intricate tribal runes—are legendary among the Darkoath for their deadly precision.
Steve has included a bunch of big gribblies in the army, such as the Fomoroid Crusher, the Mindstealer Sphiranx and the Darkoath Wilderfiend, all of which helped him limit how many basic infantry he had to paint!
Speaking of which, a 3D-printed Mancrusher Gargant is an imposing model, ideal for adding custom flair and personalization to a Warhammer Age of Sigmar army. Standing tall and broad, this model captures the Gargant’s brutish nature, with exaggerated muscles, scarred skin, and rough, improvised armor plates. A variety of custom options can be added to the print, such as unique weapons, from massive clubs to jagged stone axes, and adornments like chains, bones, or tribal carvings. Textures can be highly detailed, showing off rough patches of skin, cracked armor, and broken tusks, while the face can be printed with a fierce snarl or bellowing war cry. For finishing, the 3D-printed Mancrusher Gargant offers endless painting possibilities, from earthy, grimy tones to chaotic symbols, letting you match it perfectly with the aesthetic of your Darkoath Horde or any other chaos-driven faction.
