Greetings, team! As we wend our way to the big weekend. we’ve got some specifics regarding the painting competition, for your enquiring minds!
- Participants can submit one entry per category, the categories are as follows:
- Single Miniature – This is meant for character miniatures; a valiant general commanding his forces from a high vantage point, or a Terminator captain firing upon his doomed foe. There’s some scope to mess around here, such as with mounted miniatures or scenic bases, but this category isn’t meant for monstrous or vehicle mounted characters.
- Squad/Unit – The most self-explanatory of the catagories presented, but do feel free to have some freedom to create, with scenice bases or trays etc.
- Large Monster/Vehicle – A very wide ranging category, from gribblies on 50mm bases, all the way to a Warlord Titan, or even a particularly cool piece of scenery? Possibly the most open of all the categories.
- If you’re interested in entering, grab an entry form in store at any point from here and return it with your mini/s when you hand in.
- We’re accepting hand ins from Saturday the 21st of September, up to the cut off on the big day (Sat 28th) itself. Submissions will be stored in our handy storage tubs while we eagerly await showtime, whereupon they’ll be front and center over the weekend, for all to see!
- Collection can commence from Monday the 30th of September, along with with congratulations or comiserations.
- Any customers wandering through over the weekend are encouraged to informally vote on their favourite entries, but ultimately the winners will be decided by the sinister duo of Steve and Brett.
- Entry is free, but any participants are welcome to donate to the shop, either in store or via our kofi, that can be found here ko-fi.com/phoenixgamesstourbridge
